If you have been diagnosed with Eczema or Psoriasis, you know the struggle that it can be to keep itchiness and outbreaks under control. As always, we recommend using natural products to treat your skin but dermatologists may prescribe medicine for severe cases.

Most people do not know much about these skin conditions so we are happy to share some of the information we gathered while doing research for our products. Here are some common questions we found: 

What is Eczema? 

Eczema is a skin condition that causes the skin to become red, itchy, and inflamed. Unfortunately, it can get worse overtime without treatment. Before you self-diagnose, examine your body for rashes from eczema. Typically, people will notice eczema on their hands or eczema on the face. 

What does eczema look like? 

According to WebMD, affected areas may be red (light skin) or darker brown, purple, or ash gray (brown skin). Dry, scaly areas. Warmth, possibly also with some swelling. Small, rough bumps. If not treated, eczema can spread to other parts of your body or become worse overtime. 

Is Eczema Contagious?  

No, eczema is not contagious but if you experience any of the above symptoms, please consult your doctor. 

Treatment for Eczema? 

If you suffer from eczema on your body, here is how to treat eczema with two of our favorite products:

What is Psoriasis? 

According to the CDC, Psoriasis causes patches of thick red skin and silvery scales. Patches are typically found on the elbows, knees, scalp, lower back, face, palms, and soles of feet, but can affect other places (fingernails, toenails, and mouth). The most common type of psoriasis is called plaque psoriasis. Like eczema, psoriasis is not contagious. Doctors are likely to prescribe medicine for treating extreme skin conditions.
